It’s okay to withdraw from people and places from time to time. To rediscover and bring back the part of yourself you lost. To turn away from the ones who just cannot cease to dampen your coruscation and instead, devote all your time to the people who try to build you up. At times, the world might seem too cruel a place to reside in, but only you have the strength to free yourself from all the negative things that are holding you back. Don’t get yourself in a dither and just feel proud to be able to part your ways from people and things that have a deleterious effect on your mental health. Cutting off people who do not have the right vibe doesn’t mean that you detest them but, simply that you respect and value yourself more. Trust me, it is okay to protect your soul from harm. So, here’s to meandering through the what ifs & could haves, and making an attempt at hanging on to the sense of ‘self’.
